Our Holmewood equestrian team is going from strength to strength!

This weekend, Alice & Pippa competed at the NSEA National Showjumping Qualifiers at Duckhurst and absolutely smashed it! They took on the grassroots 60cm, with Alice securing 1st place and Pippa right behind in 2nd—both now heading to the Grassroots Championships at Hickstead in August.
Alice then stepped it up in the 70-75cm class, finishing an incredible 2nd against some top schools, earning a spot at the NSEA Show Jumping National Championships in October! Alice was one of the youngest riders to qualify, making this an incredible accomplishment. Such an amazing achievement—well done, girls!

Today our Year 8 pupils attended presentations from two visiting speakers from Generation2Generation, Emily Cass and Anita Peleg. ⁠
⁠
These were powerful, thought provoking accounts and gave all present a chance to reflect on their moving family stories. ⁠
⁠
The talks further enriched the Year 8s studies of this period in history covered this term in Theology Philosophy Religion. The theme for Holocaust Memorial Day 2026 was `Bridging Generations`. The message is clear, that by learning from the past, we can build a more compassionate future. We thank Emily and Anita for sharing their stories and reminding us all that it is our responsibility to remember and to stand against prejudice in all its forms. ⁠
