In Year 2, we have been learning about the properties of 3D shapes. We’ve had a lot of fun creating different 3D shapes and exploring their unique properties, like the number of edges, faces, and vertices. It’s been exciting to see how these shapes come together and understand what makes each one special! Year 2 Team
In English, we have been reading the story Silly Billy by Anthony Browne. After exploring the book, we designed our own worry dolls to help solve any worries we might have. It was a fun and creative way to think about how we can handle our fears and anxieties in a positive way! We also used our knowledge of noun phrases to write our own exciting descriptions of a scene from the story. By adding detailed adjectives and making our sentences more vivid, we were able to bring the scene to life and make it even more interesting to read! Year 2 team
Congratulations to our U10s who did brilliantly well at the UKSA U10 tournament at Burgess Hill, coming 4th overall.
The boys played their hearts out and should be very proud of their performance across their 8 matches; winning 4, drawing 2 and losing 2. They were a credit to Holmewood House throughout.

This Easter we are offering many varied and fun-filled courses including new options such as Author for a Week, Baking with Culinera, Lego Robotics and Prototype Modelling.
These run alongside a vast array of creative and active choices ranging from learning to 3D print to forest school to football. Course ages range from 5+ and are run by experienced, enthusiastic staff and assistants who are all suitably qualified and DBS checked.
