Year 2 31.1.25

Assembly

Students in 2KM showcased their teamwork and problem-solving skills during a fun assembly all about puzzles! Through collaboration and creative thinking, they demonstrated the power of working together to overcome challenges. It was a great reminder that teamwork makes any challenge easier to solve! Katie Mackay

2CT

In Maths, we began learning multiplication by making and identifying equal groups. This helped us understand the concept of fairness in sharing and grouping objects. We then explored repeated addition, recognising how it links to multiplication. The introduction of the multiplication sign allowed us to write number sentences efficiently. To support our learning, we used practical equipment such as counters and cubes to visualise our calculations. These hands-on activities made multiplication more engaging and easier to understand.

In 2CT, we were lucky to have Mrs Callahan visit our class to help us make dragons to celebrate Chinese New Year. It was a fantastic opportunity to be creative and work together. A big thank you to Mrs Callahan for her time and support. We had a wonderful time celebrating Chinese New Year! Catherine Thorley
