Year 7 24.1.25

French Film and Workshop

On Wednesday, as part of their curriculum on films and Paris, Year 7s were offered to take part in 3 workshops and watch “Dilili à Paris” by M. Ocelot. “Dilili” tells the story of a young girl from New Caledonia (a French overseas territory), who investigates a series of kidnapping of young girls in the Paris of “La Belle Epoque”(late XIX – early XX century). One of the workshop introduced the characters and the plot of the story so pupils would have a greater understanding of what the film was about (as it was all in French!). In the other two workshops, they were able to create a piece of Art in the style of Matisse and visit Paris using VR goggles and Google Streetview. Thank you to Year 7 for their participation and positive attitude and for the staff who ran the workshops. The MFL department
