Book Look and Pyjama Day

Thank you to all our visitors who came in for 3N’s Book Look and lunch on Tuesday. The children loved showing you all their work and looking after you in the dining hall.

Well done to all of Year 3 for achieving 1,000 house points! Their celebration was a ‘sleepover’ in the theatre with a movie, popcorn and hot chocolate. Well done to you all for all your hard work. The Year 3 team

We are very excited to announce our partnership with TEDX Tunbridge Wells to deliver the perfect enrichment opportunity for our young speakers.⁠

Year 8 pupils will have the chance to produce a short talk on any topic they are passionate about and present it to a public audience at the Trinity Theatre in May.⁠

Preparation will take place during enrichment and at home, guided by Holmewood staff and TEDXRTW. Holmewood House are proud to lead this initiative and yesterday welcomed partnering schools - The Skinners’ School, St Gregory`s Catholic School, Heathfield and Skinners` Kent Academy - for the first public speaking training session delivered by TEDXRTW.⁠

There will be two further training sessions and a rehearsal day before our Year 8s step onto the stage in May.⁠

This is a truly exciting project and we can’t wait to see the topics our pupils choose to share.⁠
