Having cut out some of the shapes, the Year 8s have been adding colour to their geometric compass drawings using pens, colour pencils or watercolours to create some stunning Layered images. Tom Johnson

Year 8 Theatre Trip – Stranger Things: The First Shadow⁠

Year 8 enjoyed an unforgettable trip to the Phoenix Theatre in London to see Stranger Things: The First Shadow. The walk through Covent Garden to the theatre added to the excitement, and as soon as the curtain rose, the children were transfixed. The opening act immediately captured their attention, and the production as a whole, from the acting to the special effects, was truly on another level.⁠

The pupils were completely absorbed and spoke enthusiastically about the performance throughout the day. It was a fantastic experience, and one that sparked a genuine excitement for live theatre. A few of the pupils had fun documenting and editing the trip into this short film.⁠
