A Week of Celebrations

RSS have had a busy week this week, celebrating Remembrance day and Diwali. We made our own poppies and had to stand very quietly with the rest of the school on Monday.   Last week we had our class assembly  all about celebrations – the children spoke beautifully and made amazing firework pictures  to show. This week we also had our first parent reader come in and read to the class – thank you to Mrs Reynecke  who braved being the first one. Mrs Schweitzer still has plenty of dates available for other parents to sign up. In the latter part of the week, we have been learning about Diwali, with Rangoli patterns  and the story of Rama and Sita, where the children made their first stick puppets  for the characters.
