National Poetry Day 2024

Whole School initiative!

All the pupils from Reception to Year 8, and the staff, took part in National Poetry Day. The national theme was ‘counting’.

Inspired by Kate Wakeling’s poem Paean* (or Eleven Uses for a Garden Pea) everyone was asked to imagine a use for a garden pea!
All the ideas were compiled into a class list poem.
Here are everybody’s individual suggestions which have been linked together and are on display all the way from Pre-Prep to the Prep School. The idea being that every person has been ‘counted’. Catherine Duncumb
