Year 1 have been enjoying a little risk taking in Forest Schools this week having the chance to use the bow saw. They have enjoyed much swinging fun on the rope swing and have been looking for pine cones and worms to measure. We have also been looking for and measuring worms. Year 1 Team
1AF have been to visit the art studio today with Mr Johnson. He showed us how to make a clay castle door using special clay tools and stamps. We can now make marks in clay, create texture and join clay parts. Mr Johnson explained the process of having the clay fired, and we will visit again soon to glaze the doors. Thank you Mr Johnson. ✨Christmas Extravaganza!!✨
The Christmas Extravaganza was nothing short of magical! This year’s event offered so many opportunities for our pupils to shine. From heartfelt performances to original songs written entirely by the children themselves, the evening showcased the incredible creativity and confidence that thrives in our school.
It was inspiring to see such a vast array of talent on display musicians, singers, and performers all sharing taking stage in front of a very busy audience. These moments remind us just how special our school is, and how much our pupils have to offer.
A huge thank you to all the staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this event possible. Your dedication and support ensured that every child had the chance to participate and feel proud of their achievements.
Many thanks too to the Friends of Holmewood for the delicious mulled wine and festive nibbles that made the evening extra special.
