Year 5 8.11.24

WoLLoW

This term in Wollow Year 5 will be looking at the languages that have influenced English as we know it today. This week, we are focusing on the Romans, learning about Hadrian’s wall as well as working out a few Latin words and brush up our knowledge of roman numerals. Here is a little test for you!

Next week, we will be looking at the Vindolanda writing tablets and try to decipher a message in Latin.  Madame Simpson

Cut the Carbon

In Year 5 & 6 Assembly today, Mrs Seecharan set the challenge to the children (and form teachers) to Cut their Carbon by completing six small activities over November.

At the end of November she will count how many pupils and teachers have completed each action and their efforts will be celebrated. Well done to the children who helped Mrs Seecharan read out the challenges in Assembly. We look forward to hearing how you all get on.
