The Enormous Turnip
We rounded off our last week of our fairy tales’ topic with ‘The Enormous Turnip’. The children enjoyed acting out the story and learning about teamwork, working together to pull out the turnip. We have been weighing different vegetables to see which are the heaviest and which are the lightest. We even ventured into a little bit of early Halloween fun carving some of the pumpkins!! We were lucky enough to enjoy a visit from author Helen Peters who shared some of her books with us! Katy Shelton
