Year 4 have started their Enrichment programme, and we have seen some great thinking and team work in our two STEM activities. One group were challenged with designing a tin foil boat that would carry the most 2p coins, without sinking whilst the second group created a light show using torches and prisms whilst exploring reflection and refraction of light. Year 4 had a wonderful trip to Knole House to consolidate their learning on the Tudors. The children immersed themselves in a range of hands‑on experiences such as exploring genuine Tudor artefacts, discovering local wildlife, calculating the age of ancient trees and even trying on Tudor costumes.
Touring the magnificent Knole House was a great way to bring the Tudor period to life, providing a valuable extension to their learning beyond the classroom.
It was a thoroughly educational and informative day, and our pupils represented the school with great interest throughout.
