Year 8 – 13.9.24

Year 8 buddies for Year 3

New for this year is our Year 8 ‘buddy’ initiative for Year 3. Every Wednesday morning all the Year 8s will meet the Year 3 children they will mentor this year and this week they had some time getting to know each other. The idea is that there is always a special person, an extra friend within the school that the Year 3s can ask questions of, look for advice from or just talk to if they need. Moving forward there will be allocated time for the buddies to meet, including reading time, playing games together such as charades, and at the end of term there will be Christmas card making and a Christmas party. We are sure that the Year 3s will love having the support and friendship from their new Year 8 friends. Simon Porter
