We had our first House Assemblies on Thursday morning. Two Year 8s from each House stood up and presented bravely to their houses as to why they should be elected House Leader. The votes were caste and now we wait til Monday to find out who has been successful. A huge well done to everyone who put themselves forward and gave some excellent presentations. Simon Jervis

At the end of last term, Year 6 had been busy putting their learning into action. In geography they visited the Year 3 and 4 corridor to share their brilliant weather-hazard presentations, adapting their language and resources so the younger pupils could enjoy floods, hurricanes, droughts, tornadoes and heatwaves brought to life through videos animations and quizzes.
In maths, Mrs Bennett’s class took on the challenge of teaching divisibility rules to Year 5, transforming a tricky topic into songs, quizzes, presentations and even fortune tellers.
A fantastic effort from all of Year 6 as they used their knowledge creativity and leadership to engage the younger years.
