We are pleased to have received a print of an Albedo Map of Mars, signed by Sir Patrick Moore, as a gift from Mr Chris Ray. Chris was a parent of three children at Holmewood, from 1994 – 2009, served for six years on the Friends of Holmewood committee, coached sport at Holmewood on Friday afternoons for six years and was a Governor for six years and is a big supporter of the school. During his time as a sports coach at the school, he introduced the Woolmer Cup for Colts cricket, in memory of the late Bob Woolmer.
Sir Patrick Moore was a teacher at Holmewood House 1948-1952 and we are pleased to have been gifted this signed map. Once it has found its home in the school we will let you know!
