Reception have travelled across the globe, learning all about China and their New Year celebrations.
We have tried to extend the children`s palette by tasting different Chinese food and eating with chopsticks which proved to be quite a challenge. We learnt about how we can manipulate shapes in the game of Tangram and enjoyed our own Chinese take away in the class.
We have even tried our hand at writing Chinese numbers while making Chinese lanterns. The highlight of the week was using the Dragon head masks we made and doing some dragon dancing accompanied by drummers 🙂
