Holmewood House prep school in Tunbridge Wells is very much a family school where the positive relationships between the teachers and pupils allows us to get to know and understand the individual needs of each and every child.

Holmewood House is a co-educational, non-selective school for boys and girls aged 3-13 years, situated in 30 acres of glorious grounds in Tunbridge Wells.

After months of training, Oscar took on the extraordinary heat this August to cycle across the South of France in aid of Cancer Research. It took him just 9 days to travel 920km and ascend the equivalent of Mount Everest! A trip full of memories and lessons which he will carry for a lifetime. Our ‘Big Read’ event this week was a fun way to celebrate all together as part of the National Year of Reading.
We were lucky to have a break in the clouds so that every pupil and their teachers from Pre-Nursery to Year 8 could have some time together to relax and read in the sunshine.
We are proud to celebrate the importance of literacy and the joy of reading across our whole school.
Our ‘Big Read’ event this week was a fun way to celebrate all together as part of the National Year of Reading.

Our new Greenpower drivers were out on the astro this morning, putting in some practice ahead of their first race event on Saturday.
The car is incredibly sensitive, so it takes plenty of skill and concentration to handle it effectively. And, of course, those all-important pit stops need to be quick too!

The Swim School holds classes for children of all abilities and is open to Holmewood pupils as well as the wider community and takes places after the Holmewood school day has finished and on a Saturday morning.
Holmewood House School has been running holiday courses since 1998. We aim to offer a wide variety of courses for children aged 5-12 in a secure and relaxed environment.

The chaperone service that Holmewood House offers has meant that our son has been able to access the best of both worlds, a country boarding school during the week where he can enjoy the space and facilities which are very hard to come by in London and then is able to come home every Friday to enjoy a full weekend with family. It is extremely convenient to be able to pick him up & drop off from central London & is workable on top of the other commitments I have! He looks forward to his trips on the train where he gets any unfinished homework done and then is able to relax at home
