Holmewood House prep school in Tunbridge Wells is very much a family school where the positive relationships between the teachers and pupils allows us to get to know and understand the individual needs of each and every child.

Holmewood House is a co-educational, non-selective school for boys and girls aged 3-13 years, situated in 30 acres of glorious grounds in Tunbridge Wells.

Wow! What an incredible achievement! Congratulations to Louis, who presented his own team to play against a strong Sevenoaks side in a charity rugby match in memory of his father, Ben. Louis`s young Chiddingstone Badgers team included Holmewood players Ethan and Oscar, and former Holmewoodian Raife, with the match kindly refereed by Holmewood parent Ben K. Whilst not victorious, after a very one sided start it finished as a very close match and, by all accounts, was very entertaining to watch! Louis played his heart out, scored the first two tries and, indeed, the Sevenoaks coach asked if they could "rehome" him if he ever decided to stop playing for his club, Edenbridge! It is an extraordinary achievement that the Chiddingstone Badgers raised £12,600 for children`s bereavement charity, Jigsaw South East and children`s rugby charity, Kent Wooden Spoon. Louis`s mum said, "Whilst not winning the game, I truly believe that Louis won the day and the spirit of rugby was celebrated beautifully by all the boys in both teams". The Swim School holds classes for children of all abilities and is open to Holmewood pupils as well as the wider community and takes places after the Holmewood school day has finished and on a Saturday morning.
Holmewood House School has been running holiday courses since 1998. We aim to offer a wide variety of courses for children aged 5-12 in a secure and relaxed environment.

The chaperone service that Holmewood House offers has meant that our son has been able to access the best of both worlds, a country boarding school during the week where he can enjoy the space and facilities which are very hard to come by in London and then is able to come home every Friday to enjoy a full weekend with family. It is extremely convenient to be able to pick him up & drop off from central London & is workable on top of the other commitments I have! He looks forward to his trips on the train where he gets any unfinished homework done and then is able to relax at home
