Holmewood House prep school in Tunbridge Wells is very much a family school where the positive relationships between the teachers and pupils allows us to get to know and understand the individual needs of each and every child.
We foster their talents and nurture their growth through a broad, balanced, challenging and exciting curriculum and, in doing so, create an environment whereby each child is provided with every opportunity to fulfil their potential. Holmewood House is a co-educational, non-selective school for boys and girls aged 3-13 years, situated in 30 acres of glorious grounds in Tunbridge Wells.
The wonderful environment and outstanding facilities provide a strong framework upon which the ethos of ‘allowing children to be children can be achieved.

Huge congratulations to all twenty-seven of our U11, U12 and U13 athletes who took part in the Kent Prep Schools Athletics Championships on Friday at the Julie Rose Stadium in Ashford. It was a fantastic day of athletics, with excellent performances from all pupils.
Special mentions must go to:
• Oliver, who won his 75m heat and qualified for the final, going on to place 4th
• Aaron, who won his 75m heat and went on to secure an excellent silver medal
• Millie, who finished in the top five in the long jump
• The U11 Boys’ 4 × 100m relay team, who finished 4th overall, narrowly missing out on qualification for the National Finals by just a tenth of a second
• Shekinah, winning a bronze medal in the hurdles
• Aaron, winning a gold medal in the hurdles
• Ethan, winning gold in the high jump and breaking a long‑standing record that had been in place since 1999!!

Brands Hatch All-American Speedway Festival Our boarders had an absolutely fantastic time at the All-American Speedway Festival at Brands Hatch last weekend! The roar of the engines, the spectacle of the racing, and the all-American atmosphere made for an unforgettable day out. There was plenty of excitement trackside, and the boarders are still talking about their favourite moments. We were thrilled to welcome elite survivalist and expedition leader Naomi Aldwyn‑Allsworth to Forest School for an unforgettable bushcraft experience. From advanced shelter‑building to mastering primitive fire craft — plus hearing all about Naomi’s planned expedition to the South Pole — our Year 8s threw themselves into every challenge.

The Swim School holds classes for children of all abilities and is open to Holmewood pupils as well as the wider community and takes places after the Holmewood school day has finished and on a Saturday morning.
Holmewood House School has been running holiday courses since 1998. We aim to offer a wide variety of courses for children aged 5-12 in a secure and relaxed environment.

The chaperone service that Holmewood House offers has meant that our son has been able to access the best of both worlds, a country boarding school during the week where he can enjoy the space and facilities which are very hard to come by in London and then is able to come home every Friday to enjoy a full weekend with family. It is extremely convenient to be able to pick him up & drop off from central London & is workable on top of the other commitments I have! He looks forward to his trips on the train where he gets any unfinished homework done and then is able to relax at home
