Friday 13th March 2026, 7pm – The Friends of Holmewood Quiz Night

Join us for a night of brainteasing brilliance and friendly competition, this year with a very special quizmaster, our very own Mr Jervis. Will there be another ‘moo that song’ round, you’ll have to join us to find out.

Welcoming teams of 8, name it, theme it and get creative. Fancy dress is highly encouraged, with extra points up for grabs.

The evening kicks off at 7pm, with dinner included and a well-stocked bar available.

Tickets on sale from Friday 6th February.

Sunday 17th May 2026, 12 – 4pm – Family Fun Day, Take 2

This much-loved event promises a fabulous day for all – grandparents very much included! With inflatables, brilliant entertainment, face painting, Pizza Cuccina, Larrats and Eridge Dairy ice cream.

We’ll be calling on volunteers to help on the day and would like to say in advance how grateful we are for your continued support and generosity in everything we do.

For those who had tickets for the cancelled September date, you will be emailed a voucher code to transfer the tickets to the new date.

Friday 5th June 2026 – Rose & Board

Lastly, we’ll be rounding off the year in style with a fabulous evening of rosé tasting and discovery hosted by wine expert, Mr Robbie Ward on the South Lawn. Prepare to expand your palette and wipe ‘Whispering Angel’ from your wine fridge.

As loving parents, we’re not keeping all the fun to ourselves and are teaming up with the boarding house to make it an exceptional night for all. Boarding places are limited and strictly no parents are allowed in the boarding house

Fireworks Night

School Projects as a result of the generosity of parents and the many events attended, since June 2020, the Friends of Holmewood has been able to invest over £15K in equipment for the school, which could not be provided through the normal school budget.

Funding rounds take place, where the staff are able to put proposals forward for funding. The aim is always invest where we can add value to the lives of the children throughout the school – ranging from educational tools, through activities/clubs, to play and pure fun for the children.

Pre-Prep education enrichment

  • Deep root planters to learn how plants grow from seeds/bulbs
  • Digital cameras for staff to make a visual record of children’s activities
  • Visualiser tools to show text, images and objects in large scale
  • Library funding, including a bi-lingual element

Prep School education enrichment

  • Digital cameras for the Junior school pupil led projects
  • Visualiser tools to create a wow-factor in classes
  • A 3D scanner and printer for Art and DT
  • MP3 recorders
  • Forte portable laptops and TWINKL membership for Learning Support Activity/Club equipment

Activity / Club equipment

  • Greenpower kit car, the helmets, and the battery chargers
  • School apiary and honey production, enjoyed throughout the school (our bee keeper also visits local primary schools with the observation hive)
  • Climbing equipment
  • Discoverers/Adventurers safety fence
  • Puzzle Club – roll up puzzle mats
  • Cookery Activity – mechanical weighing scales
  • Eco Warriors/Nature Detectives equipment Play and Fun
  • Floodlights for the Astro

Play and Fun

  • Nursery play equipment including an outdoor tunnel, construction blocks, role play and messy mud kitchens
  • Games and play equipment for the Pre-Prep and Prep school
  • Easter trail – a trail is laid out for teams to search for clues and win a prize, for both Pre-Prep and Prep school children
  • Summer beach party and Queen’s Jubilee party for Pre-Prep
  • Species labels for our beautiful trees

This is a wonderful opportunity to meet our Head, Ruth O’Sullivan, teachers, boarding and admissions staff. You will also experience a pupil-led tour and explore what makes our school so special.
