Tree of Hope and Taylor-Made Dreams
Each year a charity is nominated by the children, and 25% of all funds raised by Friends of Holmewood are donated to this charity. Throughout the year the charity is invited to come along to the events.
The last two years, we have been supporting Tree of Hope, as voted for by the children. Tree of Hope is a small children’s healthcare charity, based in Tunbridge Wells. They help families who have children with long term health conditions or disabilities in the UK, to improve their health and quality of life by supporting their family to fundraise for specialist care that is not freely available through the UK healthcare system.
We are delighted to say that through our events we raised £5,505.71 for Tree of Hope.
For the next two years we will be supporting local charity Taylor-Made Dreams. This fantastic charity enables children with life-limiting illnesses to achieve their dreams when time is precious. Alongside wish fulfilment, Taylor-Made Dreams provides nine other essential services to make sure families are financially and emotionally cared for throughout their difficult journey.
We were delighted to welcome Taylor-Made Dreams to Holmewood recently to present them with a cheque for £2,032. This is the total raised so far from the FOH Fireworks Night and Christmas Fair – we look forward to raising lots more for them over the next two years.
Do please come along and support our events and help us raise funds.
