Huge congratulations to Edward on being awarded an Academic Scholarship to Sevenoaks School!
During his time at Holmewood, Edward fully embraced our broad and enriching curriculum, consistently demonstrating dedication, curiosity and a commitment to achieving the highest standards.
As part of the rigorous scholarship process at Sevenoaks School, Edward sat examinations in Science, Humanities (History and Geography), Languages (Linguistics and his chosen modern language, Mandarin), and a General Paper designed to assess critical thinking skills. He also delivered a presentation on a topic of his choice.
We are delighted that Edward had the opportunity to showcase his many talents and achievements throughout this challenging process.
Well done, Edward! We are incredibly proud of you and wish you every success in this exciting next chapter.

On 13th June we had the honour of hosting the 80 Years of Holmewood House Garden Party and what an incredible day it was! We welcomed over 700 people for an afternoon of sunshine, laughter and reminiscing.
The North Lawn was transported back to the 1940s, the founding era of Holmewood House. There were WWII vehicles, a vintage dressing room, swing dancing and 1940s themed games against the backdrop of the ever-popular parents vs staff/alumni cricket match.
It was wonderful to see former staff, parents and pupils catching up and remembering their Holmewood days which were, for some, over 60 years ago. We had the pleasure of showcasing parts of our archive as well as our current pupils’ predictions for the future of Holmewood House.
Whether they were making Pimm’s, directing cars or perpetually picking up tin cans for the children to knock down, our teachers and support staff did a fabulous job at ensuring the day ran smoothly. It was a real team effort to pull off an event of this scale and shows what an incredible and dedicated team Holmewood is.

This year a magnificent 8 pupils qualified for the Kangaroo follow on round of the Junior Maths Challenge. All attacked the problem solving challenge with determination and resilience.
Congratulations to Perdi and BJ for qualifying, to Derek and Arthur for gaining Bronze awards, to Divit, Zoe and Arthur (still in Year 6) for gaining Silver awards and to Leo for gaining a Gold award and best in school while still only in Year 6!
