Congratulations to Emilia, Albert and Ollie in Year 6 who were crowned overall winners of the Inter-Prep School Debating Competition at @sevenoaksschooluk yesterday after beating Solefield, Granville, Brambletye, Sevenoaks Prep and Somerhill!
Two Holmewood teams took part, tackling challenging motions such as "We should be planting trees rather than building houses" and "Sportsmen are good role models."
Mrs Jervois said "All of our pupils were fantastic, demonstrating confidence, teamwork and a very high standard of debate".

Huge thanks to Robbie Ward and the Friends of Holmewood for putting on such a fun and interesting wine-tasting evening on Thursday.
The premise of the evening was to blind-taste six rosé wines and decide whether the much-loved Whispering Angel really is people’s favourite Rosé.
Accompanied by delicious canapés by Culinera, the evening was enjoyed by everyone who came, with many guests leaving having discovered some brilliant new rosé options to enjoy over the summer.
Look out for details of all the other brilliant events put on by the Friends of Holmewood next term, including the much loved Fireworks Night.
