A special night time visitor caught on camera! Our night-vision camera captured a curious badger exploring Forest School in the early hours of this morning. They’ve found something tasty under the anti weed mat!

Holmewood House enjoyed a very positive afternoon of athletics at DPS Cranbrook, competing against a number of teams from across the county in sprint, middle-distance and relay events.
There were some excellent individual performances, including first-place finishes for Oli in the 75m and Aaron in both the 100m and 200m, as well as strong podium finishes from Albert, Fiyi, Jago, George, Henry M, Clemmie and Jonny. Many pupils showed real determination, with several close finishes across the afternoon.
The relay teams also performed well, with a number of 2nd and 3rd place finishes across the year groups.
Overall, it was a brilliant team effort, with pupils showing great commitment, resilience and support for one another throughout the meet. Well done to everyone involved!

A day to remember at Rochester Cathedral! 🎶
After months of preparation, our wonderful Choristers’ Choir proudly represented Holmewood House at the second IAPS Festival of Singing, a celebration of the fantastic singing taking place across Kent prep schools.
Our pupils did an incredible job leading the singing of Handel’s Zadok the Priest - a huge achievement, as only two schools at the festival took on this challenging piece from the cathedral choral repertoire.
We were also thrilled to be joined by our brilliant male staff choir, who sang the bass line with great aplomb. Thanks to Mr Parker, Mr Murray, Mr Gurran, Mr Follet, Mr Wuciks, Mr Unwin and Mr Carter for their wonderful support and care throughout the day.
The choir also wowed the audience with Mrs Carter’s own unaccompanied arrangement of Camptown Races, a performance that truly impressed fellow schools and guests alike.
Singing in a cathedral was a privilege our children will remember forever…thank you to @iapsuk and @rochestercathedral. We can’t wait for the next festival in two years’ time.
