As we look ahead to a new era of boarding at Holmewood House, we pause to thank someone who would never ask for fanfare…
After 32 years as Housemaster, Kevin O’Riordan is stepping down from boarding. Quietly legendary, famously modest, Mr O’Riordan has shaped the lives of generations of Holmewoodians with his rock-solid care, dry wit, and unshakeable standards.
He’s been described time and again as “our favourite teacher”, and is deeply loved and respected by boarders and day pupils alike.
As we prepare to launch our newly refurbished boarding house this September, we are building on an extraordinary legacy.
Thankfully, Mr O’Riordan isn’t going far. He continues as Assistant Head Academic and Senior School Liaison, and of course remains the best Chemistry teacher for miles around.
