Whether it’s one night a week or a full boarding routine, Holmewood House offers a warm, welcoming environment where children feel secure, supported, and ready to thrive.
Boarding at Holmewood House
Set in 32 acres of beautiful countryside, our boarding house provides the perfect balance of calm structure, creative freedom and personal care. Open to pupils from Year 3 upwards, we offer both flexi and weekly boarding, giving families the flexibility they need – and children the space to develop confidence, independence and lasting friendships.
Evenings are calm and sociable – with shared meals, play, activities, and time to relax. At weekends, our optional boarding programme offers fun, variety and adventure, from woodland games to baking challenges, film nights to outings.
Our approach is rooted in the ethos of My Heart, My Mind, My World – nurturing emotional wellbeing, encouraging independent thinking, and opening pupils’ eyes to the world around them. Boarding is a natural extension of this philosophy: gentle, purposeful, and full of care.
Many families start small – just one night a week to help with a late meeting or an early start. But often, it becomes something their children actively look forward to. Because when boarding is done with heart and purpose, it becomes more than a practical choice. It becomes a place to call home.
If you’re curious about boarding – even for one night a week – we’d love to show you what makes our community so special.
