Spanish is offered in Years 7 & 8 and from year 6 in the scholarship set.

In year 7 & 8, the course follows the requirements of Common Entrance, in that it provides information on Spain and Spanish-speaking countries, and stresses the importance of Spanish as a world language.

The early parts of the course provide the language necessary for the teacher and children to communicate effectively, and provide a core of vocabulary and structures on which to build. Further Units are based upon the topics mentioned in the Common Entrance syllabus. All tasks based upon speaking, listening, reading and writing respectively are covered.
