After a detailed period of consultation, the school Governors have recently announced the cessation of Saturday morning lessons with effect from September 2017.
The Governors consider that Saturday morning school no longer sits comfortably within a 21st century day prep school. The non-academic features of Saturdays will continue with a strong focus on sporting activities and school matches. The school’s proud and well-deserved reputation for maintaining high academic standards for all its pupils will be retained during a new look five day working week.
This development sits fairly and squarely within the school’s overarching commitment to putting pupil welfare at the heart of all that we do, as has been the case with the recent introduction of the Enriched Humanities programme at Common Entrance.
"Pupils have a strong sense of right and wrong [...] borne out by the exemplary behaviour of pupils in lessons and around the school."
