Sports Report - Week 3
The weather sadly dominated the week’s sport. Only the Netball fixtures against Sevenoaks School survived on Wednesday with the Senior Girls putting in three really strong performances.
It proved a frustrating end to what has been an excellent Rugby Season. In total over 50 fixtures were played and 1500 points scored and all pupils from Year 5 upwards were given the opportunity to represent the school.
The U13A team set the standard for the school winning all nine of their regular season fixtures and thus achieved an unbeaten season -a feat matched by the U12A and Colts B teams. Congratulations to all three teams.
Friday saw our swimmers competing at the IAPS and they should be congratulated for some encouraging performances.
The week finished in excellent fashion, firstly with the U13A Rugby team rounding off a superb season by winning The Tonbridge School Prep School Rugby Festival. During the festival they had victories over Shrewsbury House, Northcote Lodge, Duke of York’s, Kings House and Yardley Court.
Rugby Colours are awarded to, Milo, Freddie, James, Chris, Maxine, Sean, Andrew, Charlie, Lucas, Inigo, Will, Stan, Jules and Arthur. Well done to all on the fantastic achievements and congratulations to Chris on also being awarded his triple Colours tie.
Secondly and finally our Gymnasts were competing in the ISGA European Gymnastics Championships in The Hague and produced some amazing performance which resulted in U10 Team finishing 2nd overall and the U13 Team finishing 3rd overall. Congratulations to all who competed.
