"The range of extra-curricular activities is exceptionally wide."
ISI Inspection Report 2011
There is a full sports programme and all children in the Prep School have two afternoons of compulsory games each week. In addition, if they are in a team, they may be required for a match on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons.
The remaining two afternoons (or three if not in a match), an extensive activity programme provides all children with the opportunity to 'have a go' at a wide range of activities. Pupils can opt for a mixture of activities and all children are encouraged to try something new - many of our boys love cooking!
The choice of activities varies each term but these have been some of the options available in recent terms ...
Art, Board Games, Book Club, Chess, Classic Movie Club, Cookery, Craft, Creative Clay, Cricket Nets, Debating Club, Drama (LAMDA), Drawing, Fishing, French Club, Fun Swim, Gymnastics, Hockey, Life Saving, Maths, Multi Activity, Nature Club, Netball, Orchestra, Paper Craft, Piano Duets, Pop Lacrosse, Science Club, Shooting, Short Tennis, Soccer, Snorkelling, Spanish Club, Squash, Swimming, Swing Band, Table Tennis, Tech, Tennis, Water Polo, XTB (Exploring the Bible) ...
"Pupils are well prepared for the next stage of their education [...] the high expectations of their teachers enable them to become self-disciplined, punctual, organised and independent. "
