Welcome Back!
A lovely first week back after half term, and oh my, the children have grown! We started back with our Farmyard topic.
Pre-Nursery enjoyed sharing stories and puzzles based on farm animals and their babies. They also loved singing farm-themed songs and exploring sensory trays filled with straw and toy animals.
Nursery had fun with an animal number game, lining up numerals 0–5 and placing the correct amount of animals by the number — for example, 5 cows, 4 horses, 3 sheep, 2 ducks, 1 farmer. They also enjoyed creating their own farmyard paintings, using sponges and brushes to create colourful barnyards, fields, and animals.
Next week…
The Nursery children are all geared up and ready for Sports Day! They have been practicing their running races and obstacle courses, showing such good team spirit amongst themselves.
Just a reminder that children need to wear their usual school uniform-coloured polo tops and navy shorts- along with trainers. Please also kindly bring along a named water bottle and sun hat in case we have the pleasure of a warm and sunny day!
Pre- Nursery will have fun in the Nursery setting, taking part in their own little sporting games and activities with their teachers.
