The Year 7 & 8 Cricket and Netball Tour to Dubai is off to a great start! Everyone has arrived safely, settled in, and started training in the sunshine. We are looking forward to hearing how they get on in the days ahead.
A really wonderful afternoon of netball from the Under 9 team who showed how well the team have progressed this term. They played 4 matches :
Won 13 1 v Walthamstow Hall
Won 13 5 v Hurst
Lost 4 7 v St Michaels
Won 9 7 v Alleyns
Some strong attacking movement and passing from Margot, Cecilia and Winter through the centre court with superb finishing from Winter and Ottilie. Equally, Maddie, Alana and Amelie were impressive in defence marking tightly and making great interceptions from centre pass to the defending circle. A fabulous team effort all afternoon with the girls taking 2nd place overall out of 9 teams competing just losing to Derwent Lodge in the final. Congratulations to the whole team.

The children enjoyed the adventure playground, testing their agility on rope courses and wooden beams. They learned about habitats, foraged for materials to create their own nests, and hid them around the woodland for animals to find. After a picnic lunch and free play on the nets and mud kitchen, the day ended with roasting marshmallows, making s’mores, and playing team games.
It was a magical day outdoors.

What do you call a group of frogs? An army!
Just one of the fun facts our youngest children learned today during an exciting visit from Jaws N Claws. They met an incredible array of animals, including Nigel, the 9-year-old blue-tongued lizard, Frank and Dave, the Great African Snails, Pete, the Giant African Bullfrog, Buster and Elvis, the tree frogs, and Steve, the royal python, who could grow to an impressive 8 feet!
There were squeals, wrinkled noses, and giggles as the children got up close with these fascinating creatures. It was a brilliant and unforgettable session—thank you, Jaws N Claws!
