The Learning Hub 15.11.24

Anti-Bullying Week

The Learning Hub was very busy this week with lots of different activities focussed on celebrating Anti-Bullying Week. The national theme for 2024 is ‘Choose Respect’. Pupils were invited to make a giant hand inspired by the Anti-Bullying Alliance logo which they could decorate and add ‘tatoos’.

Pupils could also make a spinner that calls for positive action and anti-bullying behaviour. Their ideas included “give compliments to the next seven people that you see”, “find somebody who is alone and chat and play with them”, “don’t laugh at someone”, “stop a fight” and “ask someone are you ok?”

To celebrate Odd Socks Day pupils could dare to be different by creating a unique person using coloured paper collage to create imaginative hairstyles, expressions, clothes and accessories.

Book Binding Club

Year 7& 8 book binders made their case bindings this week. This involved  gluing their marbled paper cover onto the cover and spine boards. Catherine Duncumb

Pupil Librarians

The librarians have been working hard to keep the library tidy and running efficiently. This week Tavonga’s and Will’s task was to identify the genre for each of the new books kindly donated by Fynn so they can be added to the catalogue.
